St. Bernard’s Park Apartments offers affordable housing units to seniors in the Rochester community. Throughout the four historically preserved buildings, 147 units were completely renovated in a phased approach, ensuring the residents always had a place to stay. 13 new apartments were also constructed in a fifth building, for a total of 160 units. The existing +/- 100 year-old slate roof on the center buildings was replaced with true slate to match the original color and shape that was specifically sourced for the project to preserve the original look of the building. Solar panels were added to the flat roofs on the North and South to increase energy efficiency of the complex. The project also consisted of extensive site work and the renovation of office and common areas.
